have a Forum on Innovation and
Technology for all Credit Unions
The Credit Union Innovation Forum, which will be held from 13 to 15 September 2023 at the Credit Union Training CentreCUTrac, will be addressed by Cyprian K.A. Basing, General Manager of the Ghana Cooperative Credit Union Association. The theme of the forum is “using innovation and technology to drive growth for Credit Unions” this year.
In view of technological progress, the Ghana Cooperative Credit Union Association, in collaboration with Lexbert Multimedia and Microwatch, believes that it is appropriate to bring together facilitator and participants from across the country to deliberate and share their expertise on the theme of this year’s Forum.
The Forum shall aim at providing Credit Union Chairmen, Committees and Management with information that will contribute to the growth of their credit unions and help them be more attractive financial institutions in Ghana and internationally.
In order to achieve the positive innovative modules that will improve credit unions for sustainable development, pundits from corporate and financial sectors who have made remarkable progress in forecasting, planning, executing and monitoring company policies will be able to facilitate an enormously interactive discussion.
On the first day of the forum, Cyprian K. A. Basing, the General Manager for CUA, will deliver the welcome speech, followed by a keynote speech by the Special Guest of Honour Dr. Bernard B.B. Binagab, the National Chairman for CUA. James K. Addison will facilitate a talk on emotional Intelligence at the workplace, and Dr. Johnson Kwame Wotu, the Deputy General Manager (Admin, HR, Financial Service, & Accounts and CUTraC ) will talk on member value, a boardroom priority in sustaining a Credit Union.
Day two begins with a talk on Corporate Governance, the Board of Directors’ role and other impact committees by Kofi Adado. Edmund Tetteh will also explain how technology can be an instrument for driving change in credit unions.
On September 15, 2023, which is the climax of the three-day forum, Harrision Ahorgba will touch on creativity and innovative ways to reach members as a credit union, and Bernard Kelvin Clive will also touch on how to use Digital Marketing as a tool to enhance the image of a Credit Union.
